Coming out of Atlanta, GA, Wolves & Jackals fuse together styles from thrash (Slayer, At the Gates), black metal (Behemoth, 1349), death metal (Suffocation, Carcass), and hardcore (Burnt by the Sun, Converge) to construct a driving force of speed and vigorous brutality. LaMar George unleashes pain and torment with his screams and terror through his guitar. Troy Bedingfield lets forth Hell Fire through his solos. Mikhail Loginov shakes the bowels of Hell with his bass. Michael Green storms on the drum kit, shattering nerves with every strike. Together, they trigger the bloodthirsty onslaught on humanity that is Wolves and Jackals.

2008, The Sunglasses decide it is a good idea to resurrect the grooves that once were and are and will be. Those gurgling days of playing in churches are over and have been traded for basements, living rooms, and the occasional stuffy venue. A normal show involves someone in the crowd spraying beer on every surface and person in the room (while simultaneously shouting "play that Split Enz song!" or "play Wasted...now!"), Josh fumbling into people who are confused by the newfound beer on their person, Daniel gyrating with his teal beauty, Zach looking red and wondering why there is a Gumby sticker on his bass, and Ray creating rhythms that intertwine with Daniel and Zach’s grooves to create something of a frenzied, tumbling, sensual experience. It’s all very awkward, but very wet and very fun."

CHOPPER "BORN TO RIDE... OR DIE" CD

Atlanta artcore thrash merchants Chopper (doesn't their name suggest a more polite, genteel Slayer?) thrust their middle finger into the face of popular music with a fistful of brutal, aggressive metallic punk. With a sound that's heavier than a hippo with an overactive thyroid and as brutal as a psycho killer with a persecution complex subtlety isn't included in the Chopper dictionary.
